Copy pastes a real Word table in Times New Roman 12 pt with APA rules. The data never leaves your browser.
What APA 7 style requires for tables
- Number in bold above the table (Table 1), then the title on the next line in italic title case.
- Horizontal rules only: above and below the column headings and at the bottom. No vertical lines.
- Consistent decimals within a column, usually two (three for p-values).
- No leading zero for statistics that cannot exceed 1, such as r, p, β and α (.45, not 0.45).
- Exact p-values to three decimals, except p < .001.
- A note below the table starting with Note. in italics for abbreviations, sample size and significance markers.

Frequently asked questions
How do I make an APA table in Word?
Paste your numbers into the formatter, set the table number, title and note, then press Copy for Word and paste into your document. The table arrives with APA rules, Times New Roman 12 pt and centred numbers. You can also download a .docx file.
When should I drop the leading zero?
APA 7 drops the zero before the decimal point for statistics that cannot be greater than 1, such as correlations, p-values, standardized betas, Cronbach’s alpha and proportions. Keep it for means, standard deviations and t, F or χ² values.
How many decimals should an APA table use?
Round to two decimals for most statistics and to three for p-values. Use the same number of decimals in a column. Report p-values below .001 as p < .001.
Can I paste a table from SPSS?
Yes. Copy the SPSS output table (right-click, Copy), paste it here, delete rows you do not need and the formatter rounds and styles it.
