Frequently asked questions

Are the courses really free?

Yes. Every lesson, exercise, quiz and certificate is free, with no trial, paywall or credit card. The site is supported by advertising.

Do I need to create an account?

You can read every lesson and use every tool without an account. A free student account (name, email and password) saves your progress on every device, lets you take the final assessments and keeps your certificates, so you can download them again at any time. You can delete the account whenever you like.

Do I need SPSS, SmartPLS, R or other software?

No. Every exercise uses a free tool on FreeStatisticalTools.com that runs in your browser, and the links open the tool with the course data already loaded.

Do I get a certificate?

Yes. Complete all lessons and score at least 70% in the final assessment to earn a certificate of completion with your name, the course title, the date and a unique certificate ID. Download it as a PDF from your account at any time, add it to LinkedIn, and share the verification link so anyone can confirm it is genuine. It is a record of completing a free self-paced course, not an academic credit or accredited qualification.

How long does a course take?

Between 6 and 9 hours of reading and practice, depending on the course. There are no deadlines; study at your own pace and come back whenever you like.

Which course should I start with?

If you are writing a thesis with survey or experimental data, start with Data Analysis for Your Thesis. If your model has latent constructs and hypotheses between them, continue with PLS-SEM. For a literature review, take Bibliometric Analysis. For business and marketing questions, take Marketing Research with Survey Data or Customer and Marketing Analytics.

Can teachers use the courses in class?

Yes. Lessons are free to link to and use for teaching. Students can work through the exercises in the browser during class, and the course datasets can be downloaded.
